Based on our experiences in recent years with climate change and sea weather combined with the new Atlantic airports in our country, we recommend that guests from abroad usually stay overnight in Sisimiut upon arrival and before departure from the city.
Therefore, WGW has adapted the conditions for staying in our camp in Sassannguit River and inland where 6 days of fishing are guaranteed. 7th day sailing to Sisimiut. Overnight stay in Sisimiut. WGW does not pay for stay in Sisimiut.
Also, that guests from abroad have travel insurance in order.
It should be added that Arctic Char swim up the river as normal behavior in July where it is possible to fish in the lower part of the river.
However, it is always possible throughout the season to ice the river to go up to the delta and after 1.5 hours to reach The Good Place where there are ample opportunities also to fish for rainbow colored Arctic Char. Fly fishing and spinners without barbs are allowed.
WGW would like to inform you that we will apply to the authorities in our Municipality next season for permission to use ATV/UTV as a means of transportation to Den Gode Plads.
The nature in Sassannguit Camp and the area is wild nature and is located at the Polar Circle and can seem harsh at times in terms of weather.
